Red Nose Day is coming up next Friday and we want to hear about all your events.

Whether it’s sitting in a bath of beans or dressing up for the day, give newsdesk a call on 01780 750436 or e-mail smeditor@stamfordmercury.co.uk.

One of the area’s biggest events is the annual fun run on the banks of Rutland Water. The event is being organised by Rutland County Council and participants can choose to run either one, three or six miles in fancy dress.

Those taking part should arrive at Sykes Lane, Empingham, between 9am and 10am for registration, which costs £2 for adults and £1 for children. People can register before the day by visiting my.rednoseday.com/sponsor/activerutlandfunrun

Kay Cook, a kitchen staff member at Casterton Business and Enterprise College, baked a Winnie the Pooh cake for Comic Relief and sold tickets with the help of house captains.

The winner was Year 11 pupil Eleanor Smith and £32.17 was raised.
