Young drama enthusiasts have been enjoying fun-packed dance and first aid workshops.

Pupils at Wildcats Academy, based in St Peter’s Hill, Stamford, learned some new moves at a Strictly Come Dancing workshop.

They tried the Charleston, salsa, jazz and street dance routines which were then filmed as part of a video which was made about the day.

The following day a total of 32 children visited the school for a junior first aid course. Those who took part learned several lifesaving skills, including how to put someone into the recovery position, how to call for an ambulance and how to help someone who is choking.

Wildcats owner Caz Dolby said the children had a “fabulous” time, adding: “Every workshop was fully booked and we particularly enjoyed working with the first aider trainers – such an amazing life skill that all children should have the opportunity to learn at some point as they grow up.”
