A heating engineer has narrowly missed out on scooping a top regional award.
Will Stanton, from Uppingham, was in the running for the regional title of Screwfix’s Britain’s Top Tradesman award, but missed out on victory at the final, held in Peterborough, on Monday.
Will, who trades under the name H M Services, was up against four other tradesmen in the Eastern heat final.
He had to take part in a number tasks at the Peterborough Screwfix store in Fengate.
He lost out to Bradley Rogers, a plumber from Southminster.
Speaking before the final, Will said: “I pride myself on good customer service and the majority of my business is referral led. I have also been approached by the BBC to possibly feature in a new DIY show.”
