Witness appeal after three injured in crash between Uppingham and Caldecott

Three people were seriously injured following a crash between two cars.

Emergency services were called to the collision which happened on the A6003 between Uppingham and Caldecott, near Gypsy Hollow Lane, at about 1.30pm on Thursday, April 24.

The vehicles involved were a silver Fiat Punto and a black Vauxhall Zafira.

Three people – two women and one man – were seriously injured in the collision.

The two women have been discharged from hospital following treatment but the man remains in University Hospital Coventry in a stable condition.

Police released the information this week and are now appealing for information.

Investigating officer PC 1769 David Sweetman is appealing for information from anyone who may have witnessed the incident.

He said: “I am particularly keen to hear from the driver of a red vehicle who is believed to have been travelling on the A6003 at that time.”
