A wooden rocking bike has been stolen from a shop window in Stamford.

The toy, which is large and red and blue in colour, was taken from Art in Hands in Horseshoe Lane, off Red Lion Square, on Sunday at about 5pm.

The bike was on sale for £149.99 and one of only three made.

Jarune Ziurkute, who runs the shop with her partner Vidotas Jucedicius, said: “My partner noticed it was missing when he left the shop.

“It was very crowded outside because of the Christmas festival.

“We just didn’t expect something like this to happen in Stamford.

“We’ve been here for two years now and have never had anything stolen before.”

Police are appealing to anyone with information to call 101 and quote incident number 315 of December 1.
