Young rugby players were delighted to share their match day experience with their heroes at the home of premiership champions Leicester Tigers.

Pupils from Casterton Business and Enterprise College were joined by a number of players from the club when Leicester Tigers took on Bath at Welford Road in Leicester.

The visit featured a halftime pitch parade and a Matchday Coaching Clinic before the game, during which they were given the opportunity to work with the Tigers Academy and community coaches. They also had a tour of Welford Road and had their photo taken with Tigers and England fly-half Toby Flood.

Pupil Ciaran Hughes said: “The trip was very good.

“I took a lot on board, especially the question and answer session because everything the Tigers player has gone through to get to the stage he is at, I am hopefully about to start the same adventure.”

Teammate Ben Wilson said: “I learnt more on the skills of the game and technique, it was a great trip.”
