Youth groups and charitable organisations are being urged to apply for grant funding.

Bourne Town Council, which has a long history of providing grant funding to local organisations, has £5,118.28 to give to grant applications, which would benefit young people aged between 11 and 17. This money is the balance from the account of the former youth centre management committee in Bourne.

It also has a fixed amount in its annual budget, which organisations can apply for by requesting an application form to the town clerk.

Town clerk Nelly Jacobs said: “Council members would like to take this opportunity to thank the former members of the Youth Centre Management Committee for their hard work throughout the years for the benefit of the youth of the Parish of Bourne.

“There must be many projects that local groups are considering that may be held back by the lack of funding.

“I look forward to hearing from groups.”

Anyone interested in applying can contact Mrs Jacobs on 01778 426123 or e-mail clerk.bournetc@btconnect.com for an application form or for advice.
