A lost greyhound has been returned to its thankful owner.
Errin was delivered home on Wednesday after she was reported by two horse riders who saw her near Stretton in Rutland.
The dog went missing after she chased deer while on a walk in Callans Lane Wood near Kirkby Underwood on Sunday, October 11.
Errin was caught by the Rutland dog warden who scanned the dog’s microchip which was registered to the Lincolnshire Greyhound Trust.
Kevin Stow from the trust immediately drove down from Lincoln to collect Errin and return her to owner Julie Berry, 46, from The Brambles, Bourne.
The greyhound is very thin and exhausted but otherwise unhurt.
Julie said: “We are so grateful to everyone who turned out to search for our lovely dog over the 11 days she was missing.
“There are some wonderful caring people living in our community and I want to express my sincere thanks to everyone.”
