A CHARITY which provides hospice care to terminally ill patients is branching out into the south of Lincolnshire.

St Barnabas Lincolnshire will now have more services available to people living in Stamford, Bourne and The Deepings.

Its services have previously been centred around the north of the county.

To mark the changes volunteers Doreen Davies and June Mason hosted a fundraising lunch at Barnsdale Lodge, near Rutland Water, on Tuesday.

Mrs Davies, of Deeping St Nicholas, and Mrs Mason, of Spalding, raised £300 from the event.

Mrs Mason said: “We plan to make the lunch an annual event and hope it will be bigger and better next year.”

Money raised will go towards day therapy and hospice services.
