Pupils celebrated the arts at a Stamford primary school last week.

Malcolm Sargent Primary School had an arts week which was capped off by pupils in upper key stage 2 presenting a fashion show.

The fashion show featured different themes, including mods and rockers, swinging ’60s, flower power, punks and new romantics.

Year 5 teacher Joanna Snell, the fashion show organiser, said: “The show was really good, the children really enjoyed doing it and it was really well received by other children.”

Each pupil made a customised T-shirt and, with some help from parents, did their hair and make-up to match their theme.

Drama teacher Jen Bacon helped the pupils learn dances for their stints on the catwalk, which were all caught on a DVD of the event.
