FIREFIGHTERS and runners are among those who have grown a moustache for charity during “Movember”.

The Mercury has been highlighting the efforts of those who have taken part in the scheme, where men are encouraged to grow a moustache throughout November to raise money for prostate and testicular cancer charities.

Firefighters at Stamford fire station in Radcliffe Road have raised about £300 with their efforts thanks to the support of friends and family.

And four members of running club Stamford Striders have raised about £150.

Paul Hannah even painted his handlebar moustache the club colours of gold and blue for a race.
