LOCAL people had mixed fortunes after appearing on television.
Phil Norton was on Dragons’ Den and a team of journalists from Tinwell appeared on Safebreakers.
Phil, of Ryhall Road, Stamford, performed in a two-minute version of Cinderella before bosses from Polka Dot Theatre Company pitched for £100,000. Unfortunately the group failed to secure any money.
The team from Practical Performance Car magazine fared better on Safebreakers where they built a bulldozer to tackle a tough obstacle course. They beat their competitors to win the £5,000 prize.
The team included Will Holman, of Oundle, Kevin Leaper, of Caldecott, Mark Welford, of Whitby, and James Winstanley, of Newcastle.
Mr Holman said: “We really enjoyed the experience. We took a chance by building a complex vehicle but thankfully it paid off.”
The vehicle is currently for sale on eBay.
