A Saturday shop worker who took over a Market Deeping jewellery store where she was employed celebrated her first year in charge on Saturday last week.
Molly Clegg, 20, the owner of Murano Silver, in Market Place, rewarded customers on November 1 with in-shop offers as well as Buck’s Fizz and balloons.
Molly, who lives in Deeping, has no regrets about shunning university to go into business, although she admits some aspects of the role have been harder than she anticipated.
“It’s really different to when I worked here. I did not realise what other work goes into it but I’m getting used to it now,” she said.
“The hardest thing is working with suppliers and ordering stuff.
“I really like working in the shop on a day-to-day basis, choosing the stock and helping people when they have a specific idea for what they want.”
