PEOPLE left messages for their mothers as part of a charity shop’s fundraising week.

The St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice shop in North Street, Bourne, set up a Mother’s Day message window last week.

Anyone could come along during the week and pay £1 to leave a message on display in the window.

Between £700 and £800 was raised by the shop during the course of the week.

Manager Christine Beardwood said: “We had a lot of flowers in the window and plenty of people came to leave messages. The majority were under 20 but we had some from older people as well.

“The total raised was amazing, we are really pleased with it.”
