A woman took on a two-day motorbike ride across five countries to raise money for the charity that helped save her partner’s life.
Charlie Lester, 25, of Sargent’s Court, Stamford, rode more than 1,500 miles from Waddington to Berlin to raise money for the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance.
Paramedics from the charity rushed her partner Tony Hoare, 39, to hospital after a motorbike racing accident which left him with two collapsed lungs, multiple broken ribs and a broken shoulder.
Charlie said: “I want to raise money so that someone else, someone as ignorant as I was of how such a service could affect their life so deeply, can watch through their tears as the air ambulance saves the life of someone they love.”
