Motorcyclist from Stamford airlifted to hospital after A43 crash

A motorcyclist from Stamford was flown to hospital with serious injuries following a crash on the A43 near Corby.

Emergency services were called to the incident at about midday yesterday (Sunday) after a yellow Suzuki motorcycle collided with a black Volkswagen Golf, at the turning towards Bulwick.

The 61-year-old man, who was riding the motorbike, was taken to University Hospital Coventry by air ambulance.

The driver of the car was not injured.

The road was closed while the debris was cleared.
