Stamford’s transition town group has launched its first project of a busy 2016.

Sustainable Stamford has set up the draught busters team to work with the Evergreen Care Trust to help the vulnerable and the elderly keep their homes warmer in the winter months as well as reducing their energy bills.

Group organiser John Yard said: “We are delighted to have received Lottery funding for our draught busters project, as it represents energy saving in action.”

If you know of a vulnerable or elderly person who lives in a cold and draughty house and is the owner occupier, then call draught busters on 01780 763967 to be considered for the free service. Volunteers are also needed so if you have a few hours to spare, the draught busters team would love to hear from you.

Sustainable Stamford has a busy year of events planned, including the Bright Green Energy Show in March.
