New drama group at Stamford Corn Exchange set up by director Martin Tempest

A director has started up a new drama group for youngs people.

Martin Tempest is running the Image Theatre group at Stamford Corn Exchange in Broad Street.

The director, who previously played the Artful Dodger in the 1984 film Oliver Twist, will give acting lessons to people aged from eight to 25.

Martin said: “It’s such a wonderful theatre and it was brought back to life by volunteers who worked tirelessly over the years to make it work.

“I feels it’s extremely important to have a drama base workshop at this wonderful venue.”

The group will build on the workshops Martin has previously held in Stamford.
