PEOPLE are being asked to nominate good citizens in their area for an annual award.
Lincolnshire County Council is calling for the names of people who play an important role in their communities to be put forward for the Good Citizens Awards 2012.
Lincolnshire County Council vice-chairman Coun Robert Palmer said: “It’s your chance to honour those extraordinary people whose voluntary contributions make noticeable differences.
“Of course, they don’t do it for reward but the hugely positive impact they have on people’s lives should be recognised.”
The awards come in three categories - Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year (aged 16 or below), and Community Group of the Year. Nominations can be made before April 20 at www.lincolnshire.gov.uk/goodcitizensawards.
