ELIZABETH Wallhead, of Bede House Bank, Bourne, died at her home, aged 69. During the Second World War, she was a land girl and later worked for Len Pick. She also worked as an usherette in the old picture house.
She loved dancing, and lived with her partner, Terry Smith for 23 years, as he cared for her during her long illness.
Her son Mark pre-deceased her 29 years ago.
Bereaved are her partner Terry Smith, daughter Hayley and grandchildren Sam, Tom and Ruby.
The funeral service took place at Bourne Abbey Church, followed by interment at Bourne Cemetery.
