Marshall Hulse

THE funeral of Marshall Hulse, of Castle Rise, Belmesthorpe, took place at Marholm Crematorium, Deacon Charles West-Sadler officiating.

Mr Hulse, a bachelor, died at his home after a brave fight against cancer, aged 68.

Born in Birmingham he was educated at the local Catholic schools and became an apprentice at Cadbury’s where he continued to work while completing his studies to qualify as a
teacher.

Marshall then moved to Derbyshire College, where he taught for a number of years, before moving to Stamford, where he worked for South Kesteven District Council as a building inspector, until his
retirement.

He travelled extensively throughout the world particularly in the 1970s and could tell of the many exotic and interesting places he had visited in remote
areas.

A keen sportsman, he played badminton, golf, bowls and tennis, the latter for the county up to the diagnoses of his illness, being a member of Ryhall Bowls Club and Stamford Indoor Bowls Club, Toft Golf Club, Rock Tennis Club and Ketton Tennis Club.

Marshall will be sadly missed by his many friends.
