Mary Noble

MARY Noble, of Essex Road, Stamford, died at Peterborough City Hospital, aged 101.

She was the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Watson, of Ashington, Northumberland, and when she was younger worked in service at Ketton Hall. She later worked for Blackstones and Prue Clarke’s Hairdressers.

Mrs Noble was a member of Cruise and the Darby and Joan Club and also assisted in the Salvation Army charity shop. More recently she was a member of Christ Church Day Centre, where she loved meeting her friends.

Widow of George Noble, who died in 1965 aged 58, she leaves her son Albert and daughter Ann Buckley.

The funeral service took place at Marholm Crematorium, the Rev Peter Hart officiating.
