THE Olympics was the theme chosen for the fifth Young Arts Exhibition, organised by Oakham Decorative and Fine Arts Society at Catmose College.

The Lord Lieutenant of Rutland Dr Laurence Howard presented the prizes.

There were more than 160 exhibitors from Rutland schools and prizes were awarded within four age groups.

Individual winners received a gold, silver or bronze medallion, a certificate and a book token.

The winners were Francesca Shepherd, from Brooke Priory School; Connor Foort, from Exton and Greetham; Kenzie-Mae Hirst, from Cottesmore; Amy Hutchinson, from Empingham and Great Casterton; Maverick Davies, from Empingham and Great Casterton; Alice Carter, from North Luffenham; Lucy Adams, from Brooke Hill; Alice Pearson, from Oakham School; Izaak Cole Wallace, from Oakham CE; Megu Marumoto, from Oakham School; Kate Riordan and Eleanor Firth, from Catmose College.
