Visitors were browsing around a traditional Victorian cottage garden at the weekend which opened to raise funds for a village church.
Keen gardener Marian Foers proudly showed off her garden in Stamford Road, Exton, yesterday (Sunday).
The event raised more than £200, which will go towards maintenance costs and a new heating system at the village church.
Marian has developed the garden over many years, which features a pond, vegetable and fruit area, trees and shrubs, and a summer house.
Marian said: “It went very well considering there was lots going. It was very rewarding to show people around and the feedback was overwhelming.”
Gardens also opened in South Luffenham and Empingham at the weekend.
