A TOTAL of £1,700 was raised at a nearly new sale held at Bourne Corn Exchange on Saturday.

Stamford, Bourne and Deepings branch of the NCT holds the fundraising sales twice a year and this one proved so popular there were queues to get in.

On sale were baby goods, including toys, clothes and equipment, as well as maternity wear.

Lucy Bateson, branch co-ordinator, said it was busier than usual with lots of buyers and sellers.

“It was a really good sale. We were really pleased. The £1,700, which is about what we usually raise, is divided between branch and national funds and will be spent locally on such things as our Tiddlywinks mum and baby group and on training counsellors.”
