PUSHCHAIRS were out in force on Saturday as scores of families got together to raise funds for a national initiative.
About 25 mums and dads walked around the grounds of Burghley House with their children in aid of the NCT’s Big Push fundraising event.
Final donations are still being counted but the charity’s Stamford Bourne and Deepings branch coordinator Lucy Bateson hopes the event has raised more than £700.
The charity gives practical and emotional support in all areas of pregnancy, birth and early parenthood.
Lucy said: “It was a good event considering the bad weather and we were very pleased with the turnout.
“It was just a nice opportunity for people to get together and meet other parents. There was a range of ages and a really nice atmosphere which was great to see. We hope the event has raised more than £700 and we’re over the moon with that.”
