Passport stolen from Stamford shop

A PASSPORT and an ID card have been stolen from a shop in Stamford.

Between 1.30pm and 2pm on Friday last week, three men and a woman entered the CLC Bookshop in St George's Street, Stamford, and started talking to the shop assistant as she stood at the till.

It is believed that at some point one of these people went into office and stole a British passport along with a South African ID card belonging to the shop assistant.

One of the men is described as white aged between 16 and 18, and with fair hair. He was wearing a baseball cap and a white zip-up waterproof jacket.

There are no descriptions for the other two suspects.
