Peterborough Male Voice Choir picks up two awards

AN amateur choir took home two prizes at a national awards ceremony.

Peterborough Male Voice Choir, which has members from Stamford, Bourne, the Deepings and Rutland, won the England section of the EPIC awards run by Voluntary Arts, the development agency for arts participation in the UK.

The choir also got the most online votes in the People’s Choice award.

Secretary Andy Coles said: “This is such an honour for us. I was so pleased to hear that the choir’s work has been recognised by such a significant arts body.”

The choir’s prize includes £125 and professional tutoring.
