AN EXHIBITION of photography by two A-level students opened in Stamford on Wednesday

The collections by Ben Lake, 17, studying at New College Stamford and Ylana Hunt, 18, from Kings School, Peterborough, opened with a private viewing at Bluecoat Primary School’s Bluecoat Gallery, in Green Lane.

Teaching assistant and exhibition organiser Vicky Alderman said: “It was a really nice evening, consisting of a private viewing for two photographers, who are former students of the school, and their friends and family. It was a special night for the two artists.”

The event was attended by approximately 30 people who viewed the images while enjoying refreshments.

Ben’s work is based on his interest in geography, taking snapshots of the natural world, whereas Ylana’s photography has a fantasy element.

The exhibition is open to the public from 9.30am-11.30am and from 1.30pm-3.30pm until the end of March.
