A MEETING on plans to build a £5m renewable energy plant will be held on Thursday.
Developer Hawksmead and renewable energy firm Kedco are holding a public exhibition at the Victoria Hall in High Street, Oakham, from 2pm until 7pm.
The exhibition will showcase plans for an anerobic digestion facility in Burley Road, Langham.
The site would turn agricultural material, including farm slurry, grass, maize and wheat from Rutland farmers into energy, which would be fed into the National Grid.
Once the firms have consulted on the plans, they hope to submit a planning application.
Hawksmead, which is part of the Larkfleet Group, owns the land where the facility is planned.
