Dog owners could have somewhere to leave their pets during the day after plans for a “doggy caycare” centre were submitted.

Tracey Longmuir, of Coronation Road, Corby Glen, wants to change the use of a unit in Station Road Industrial Estate, Littie Bytham, to open the new centre.

According to the planning application, the doggy daycare centre would house up to 12 dogs staggered between 7am to 7pm Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm on Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sunday.

Staff would pick up and drop off the dogs if required, although the unit has parking for eight cars.

Dogs would be walked for between two and three hours a day so will only be in the building for up to six hours.

During that time they would rest, play, be washed, trained and cared for by staff who would be with them at all times.

An outdoor gravelled area would be fenced off so dogs could be let out for toilet breaks.
