A SPORTS club has applied for more time to redevelop its clubhouse.
Blackstones Sports and Social Club was granted planning permission for a new building at its home in Lincoln Road, Stamford, in May 2009.
But approval was given on the condition that work was to start within three years of the date of permission being granted.
That date has now passed, so the club has re-applied to South Kesteven District Council.
The new clubhouse would be a two storey building, with changing rooms and a bar on the ground floor and function rooms upstairs.
A new storeroom for the groundsman would be included, along with toilets for spectators.
Existing car parking would be retained and the new building would have direct access to the football pitch for players and officials.
