A TEENAGER put her skills to the test as part of an RAF scholarship scheme.
Bourne Grammar School pupil Georgia Davey, 17, took part in a course at the Bramley Lakes Adventure Training Centre near Norwich this month.
Georgia, who lives in Peterborough, is one of 60 young people in the UK to have won an RAF Scholarship, which gives her a £1,000 bursary for academic development and a chance to learn more about what it means to serve in the RAF.
During the course she took part in climbing, abseiling, expedition planning and an overnight bivouac intended to develop team-working and leadership skills.
Georgia said: “The walk and canoe trip were physically tough and I felt the pressure in my leadership phase due to the time constraints put upon us.
“I enjoyed the low ropes the zip wire and getting muddy on the obstacle course.”
