PLANS for a petrol station in South Road, Bourne, have been approved.
South Kesteven District Council’s development control committee gave the green light to Lindum Group’s application to develop the greenfield land to the east of the Elsea Park roundabout at a meeting yesterday (Tuesday).
The North Hykeham developer, which bought the land with Castle Square Developments, of Lincoln, for £500,000, had hoped to operate the petrol station 24 hours a day. But councillors imposed a condition restricting opening hours from 6am to 11.30pm.
At the same meeting, councillors deferred a decision on Bourne developer Larkfleet Homes’ plans to build 18 homes on land north of Spalding Road, Deeping St James.
The committee asked Larkfleet to look at access to the site and car parking.
