Youngsters at a school have proven they know how to stay safe on the roads after winning a county award.

Year 5 and 6 pupils at Langham Primary School are celebrating after winning Rutland Schools Road Safety Competition. The annual competition is run by Rutland County Council and features a road safety quiz.

Rutland County Council road safety officer Tish Barnwell was on hand to present the children with the engraved cup for their victory.

Ms Barnwell said: “Congratulations to everyone that entered.

“We are very proud of them all and thrilled to have won the competition.”
