A developer will show off its plans to build almost 200 homes in a village at a public exhibition.
Larkfleet Homes, based in Bourne, wants to develop land off Lawrence Road in Wittering.
The company will show off its initial plans between 3pm and 7pm on Tuesday at Wittering Bowls Club in Silver Birch Court. A newsletter has also been sent to residents giving details of the development.
Associated planning director of Larkfleet Homes Mark Mann said: “The proposed development will help meet growing housing needs both nationally and locally.
“We are keen to consult with local people on our proposals and we would like to encourage residents to come along to the public exhibition on September 23 to ask questions and share their views by completing a feedback form.”
Residents will be able to ask questions of members of the project team from Larkfleet Homes on the day.
According to Larkfleet the new development will include a mixture of properties, ranging from one to five-bedroom two-storey houses. There will also be an area of public open space with a children’s play area included as part of the development.
The company has also announced a plan to create a small community fund should a planning application be approved. The fund would be offered to support community benefit projects as determined by Wittering residents.
It would be made up of £500 for each house built up to a maximum payment of £75,000 for each planning permission. The fund could be used for any purposes specified by the parish council and could include a number of days of professional support to help create and write bids for specific larger scale community projects.
