A developer will hold a public exhibition on Tuesday on plans to build up to 250 new homes and a small business park in Market Deeping.
Larkfleet Homes has sent leaflets to more than 5,000 homes on its proposals for the site on land off Northfield Road, Market Deeping.
The development would include a small area for employment development to create jobs in the area, as well as green open space and a children’s play area.
Some of the homes would be affordable.
Larkfleet would also give £500 for each house built to provide additional community facilities.
The Bourne-based developer hopes to submit an outline planning application to South Kesteven District Council in the summer.
People can find out more about the proposals during a public exhibition, which is being held on Tuesday between 2pm and 7pm at Deepings Community Centre in Douglas Road, Market Deeping.
Members of the project team from Larkfleet Homes will be on hand to answer questions about the proposals and the firm said it was keen to keep people fully informed of the plans and provide opportunities for feedback.
Land director at Larkfleet Group David Connolly said: “We are keen to consult local people on these proposals and we urge residents to come along to the public exhibition to ask questions and share their views.”
The responses collated at the exhibition will be used to form a statement of community involvement, which will be submitted to the district council with the planning application.
Larkfleet said there was an identified housing need in the Deepings and the proposed development would help meet that need.
The exhibition is a drop-in event and there is no need to book.
