Money handed over to The Lodge Trust

Councillor Alf Dewis donated a cheque to his chosen charity as one of his last acts as mayor of Oakham.

Before his year in office came to an end, Coun Alf Dewis presented a cheque for £434.48 to David Whitmarsh, the chief executive officer of The Lodge Trust. The money was raised at various events.

The Lodge Trust is based at Market Overton and provides individual support for 29 adults with learning difficulties and is supported by 60 full and part time members of staff.

It is based on a residential site comprising four houses and five individual flats.
