People urged to recycle plastic bottles during national recycling week

PEOPLE are being urged to recycle plastic bottles during national recycle week.

Lincolnshire County Council says 48 per cent of plastic bottles are recycled and as part of the recycle week, which runs until Sunday, it is highlighting the plight.

Executive member for waste and green issues and vice chairman of the Lincolnshire Waste Partnership Lewis Strange (Con) said: “With more than 15 million plastic bottles used every day, it’s really important that we do all we can to make sure these are recycled and not just thrown away.”
