Councillors will make a decision on several significant planning applications tomorrow (Tuesday).
South Kesteven District Council’s development control committee will meet at the council office in Grantham at 1pm.
Among the items on the agenda is the council’s own application to build 12 houses and eight flats on open space off Lincoln Road, Stamford. The homes would be the second set in a series of council houses to be built in the town.
Despite some opposition from neighbouring residents, council officers have recommended the plans be approved.
Councillors will also discuss Jelson Ltd’s plan to build two homes on open space in Melrose Close in Stamford. Similar applications from Jelson to fill in open space in Ayr Close, Casterton Road, Caithness Road and Aberdeen Close have already been refused, but the Melrose Close plans have been recommended for approval.
An application to create 12 one-bedroom apartments at The Croft in North Road, Bourne, has also been recommended for approval.
And councillors have been urged to approve the demolition of two semi-detached homes next to Tallington Nursing Home in Old Rectory Drive, Tallington, and replace them with an extension to the care home.
The documents for the meeting can be viewed on the South Kesteven District Council website.
