Councils look set to freeze tax rates across the region despite being forced to make more cuts and losing further Government funding.
County councillors in Lincolnshire and district councillors in South Kesteven are due to set budgets for 2014/15 in the coming weeks.
South Kesteven councillors will make their final decision on March 3. The proposed freeze would result in a one-off £64,000 grant from central Government.
And Lincolnshire county councillors will made a decision on their budget on Friday (February 21).
The cabinet has recommended a tax freeze in exchange for a grant of £2.567m from the Government.
