A former social club could be demolished to make way for offices.

Property developer The Tall House has applied to South Kesteven District Council to demolish the old Cummins Social Club in Blackfriars Lane, Stamford.

The firm is working on behalf of Haatch, run by Kiddicare founder Scott-Weavers-Wright. Haatch hopes to build a new “digital hub” in place of the old social club, which closed in March last year.

The development, which Mr Weavers-Wright has described as a digital business incubation centre, would include a 100-seater auditorium for firms to hire and hold conferences and presentations, a floor with office space available for leasing, and a cafe area with a roof terrace.
