A public exhibition on the first phase of a 400-home development will take place tomorrow (Wednesday).

Taylor Wimpey will show off plans for 70 homes at Stamford Arts Centre between 2pm and 8pm. The homes form part of a wider development between Empingham Road and Tinwell Road.

The developer is preparing a planning application with the intention to submit it to South Kesteven District Council in the summer.

The development, previously known as Stamford West, received outline planning permission in May last year.

Taylor Wimpey was then selected by landowners, the Cecil Estate Family Trust, to build the houses at Exeter Fields, which will eventually comprise 400 new homes, of which 35 per cent will be affordable properties; a business park; a neighbourhood centre; community facilities and public open spaces.

The proposals can also be seen on the Taylor Wimpey website.
