A public inquiry will be heard on Wednesday into major changes at a house.
The Planning Inspectorate will hold the inquiry into The Pavilion in Home Farm Close, Burley.
Rutland County Council issued an enforcement notice to the owners of The Pavilion inFebruary, after it came to light that the property went far beyond what it had planning permission for.
Councillors agreed in September to take enforcement action, voting to strip the property back to what it had permission for in 2004. This was against planning officers recommendations.
An application to keep the house as it stands had also been refused.
The notice gave the owners two years to make changes, including reducing the height of the roof.
But the owner appealed against the ruling.
The inquiry will be heard at 10am on Wednesday at Rutland County Council’s offices in Catmose, Oakham.
It is expected to last a day.
