THE post office in Stamford is not closing despite the building being up for sale.
Renbridge Land, which currently owns the building leased by the Post Office in All Saints Street and the former sorting office in Red Lion Square, is selling the buildings as an investment opportunity.
But Renbridge Land director Jeff Wilson says the post office in Stamford will continue running on its lease as normal and The Cosy Club, which has taken on the sorting office, will also still open later in the year.
Mr Wilson said: “When we bought the land, we didn’t see it as a long-term plan. We just wanted to improve the building and add value to the land.
“There is a lease that exists with both the Post Office and The Cosy Club and they will remain in place. We are advertising it as an investment opportunity.”
