Queen and Prince Philip to be driven through Stamford town centre

THE QUEEN and the Duke of Edinburgh will be driven through Stamford as part of their jubilee tour.

Queen Elizabeth II and her husband, Prince Philip, will take a short tour through the town on Wednesday, June 13, following their visit to Burghley House.

The full route has not yet been revealed, but Buckingham Palace has confirmed that the royal party will be driven slowly through the town centre after they leave the diamond jubilee picnic at Burghley.

The Queen will be at Burghley after visiting Nottingham with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

William and Kate will remain in Nottingham while the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh travel to Stamford.
