TRIVIA fans raised more than £600 for a charity that provides sailing for the disabled.

Teams competed in a pub quiz at The White Hart in Ufford on January 26 to collect funds for Rutland Sailability.

Fourteen teams took part and raised £611, with “Thirst Aid” emerging victorious over runners- up “Nobbled”. Refreshments were provided and members of the winning team received a bottle of wine each.

Mike Baumber, of Friends of Rutland Sailability, said: “This is the third year we have run the quiz at The White Hart and we are so very grateful for the generosity of all the staff there, Martin at The News Shop, Peter at Barnack Post Office Store, and members who brought raffle prizes, to help the evening go so well.

“Most especially, many thanks to everyone who turned out on a cold January evening to have fun – the money raised will help us to provide equipment and training to ensure safe sailing for our disabled members at Rutland Sailability.”
