People put their general knowledge to the test while supporting an appeal to build a new hospice.

Residents of Wothorpe organised a charity quiz night at The William Cecil hotel in High Street St Martin’s, Stamford.

The night was organised by Jeannie Dykes, a nurse and complementary therapist at Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice in Peterborough.

More than £1,100 was raised on the night, which will go towards an appeal to build a new hospice.
