Motor-racing fans ignored the near blizzard conditions on Saturday to buy the first copies of the DVD of the BRM Day that was held last October through Bourne.
BRM Day committee member Richard Bostock said:“We were very heartened by the number of people who braved the weather conditions to buy a copy.
“The feedback from those who have viewed it is very positive and without exception, everybody feels that it captures the essence of a very special day when the town came alive to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the BRM team bringing back to Bourne both the World Formula One Championship and Driver’s Championship.”
The DVD contains action footage from the day with interview footage of celebrities who attended including Damon Hill and Sir Jackie Stewart.
The DVD went on sale for £10 at Stephen Knipe and Co and is now also available at Double and Megson, Rutland Sports, Quentin Marks and Gordon’s Photographic and at www.brmday.co.uk
All profits will be donated to charity.
