A PICTURE of the Harriers’ final flight was presented to residents of a care home.

Service personnel from RAF Cottesmore helped revamp the garden furniture at Oak House Residential Home in Main Street, Greetham, as part of its Heroes for Help Scheme where personnel help with tasks in the community.

All the garden furniture at the home was sanded down, washed and give a fresh lick of paint and a huge parasol was also thoroughly cleaned.

And as a memento of their week at the home, Warrant Officer Nick Baxter presented a picture of the Harriers’ final flight, which took place at RAF Cottesmore in December.

Office manager at the home Linda Ellis said: “The picture is signed by all the people who came and helped in the garden, which looks absolutely lovely now. It was really nice of them to give us that picture and we will hang it in a prominent place, where all the residents can enjoy it.”
